Belgian national team midfielder Amadou Onana has officially joined English Premier League club Aston Villa, according to a statement from the Villans.
The 22-year-old midfielder played for Everton from August 2022 until June 2024. His contract with Aston Villa runs until the end of June 2029. Reports suggest that the transfer fee for the Birmingham club is set to be around £50 million (approximately €59.5 million).
Onana has made four appearances for the Belgian national team at UEFA Euro 2024, helping the team reach the Round of 16, although he did not score any goals during the tournament. In the 2023/2024 season, he played 30 Premier League matches for Everton, scoring two goals. According to the Transfermarkt website, his market value stands at €50 million.
