According to Focus media outlet, Bayern Munich is interested in Jürgen Klopp, the head coach of Liverpool in the English Premier League (EPL) who will leave the Reds at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
As reported by the source, the Bavarian powerhouse considers the 56-year-old coach as a candidate for the coaching position. Currently, the management of Bayern Munich is searching for a specialist who can lead the team in the 2024/2025 season. It is noted that the 59-year-old Hans-Dieter Flick, who previously worked with the Bavarians from 2019 to 2021, could be the one to take over.
Recall that in January 2024, Klopp announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the 2023/2024 season. After 33 matches in the current EPL season, Liverpool are in second place in the standings with 74 points, the same as the leading Arsenal.
On April 10th, in a commentary for Eurosport, Klopp expressed his desire to win the Europa League, but his team was eliminated at the quarter-final stage, losing to Atalanta (0-3 at home, 1-0 away) after two matches. On March 31st, securing a 2-1 victory against Brighton & Hove in the 30th round of the EPL, Klopp claimed his 300th win as the head of Liverpool.
