According to journalist Christian Falk from Bild, Bayern Munich will not extend the contract of 35-year-old German striker Thomas Müller.
Sources indicate that after lengthy discussions, the management of the German club came to a decision not to renew the contract with the club's long-time player, which is set to expire on June 30, 2025.
Müller has been a key player for Bayern since 2009. During his time with the club, he has won 12 Bundesliga titles (2010, 2013-2023), six DFB-Pokal trophies (2010, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2020), and two UEFA Champions League titles (2013, 2020).
In the current season, Müller has played 34 matches for Bayern across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing as many assists. Transfermarkt currently estimates Müller at six million euros.
As it stands, Bayern Munich are leading the Bundesliga table with 62 points from 26 matches played.
Reports previously indicated that Thomas Müller wishes to extend his contract with Bayern.
Additionally, the 35-year-old forward has matched Cristiano Ronaldo's record for the most seasons with goals in the UEFA Champions League.
