Midfielder Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich will not be moving to Barcelona, as reported by Sport.es.
According to sources, the Catalan club could not offer the required financial terms to the 29-year-old German midfielder.
It is noted that Kimmich earns €19.5 million per year before taxes at Bayern Munich. Barcelona, due to financial challenges, is unable to match such a salary for the player.
In the past season, Kimmich played 43 matches for Bayern Munich, scoring two goals and providing nine assists. His contract with the Munich-based club runs until mid-2025.
Earlier reports indicated that Bayern Munich would sell Kimmich in the summer transfer window if a suitable offer was made. London's Arsenal has demonstrated significant interest in signing the midfielder.
