Barcelona's head coach, Xavi, has included forward Joao Mendes - the son of the legendary footballer Ronaldinho - in first-team training sessions, as reported by Marca.
The forward was called up to the first team during the La Liga break for international matches.
The 19-year-old Mendes has been part of the Catalan club's system since 2023. Before that, he played for Cruzeiro, where he signed the first professional contract in his career.
Ronaldinho spent the majority of his career with the Blaugrana. He played for Barcelona from 2003 to 2008, helping the team win the Champions League and becoming a Spanish champion and holder of the country's Super Cup with the team.
Earlier, the media reported that the 44-year-old former footballer is suspected of cryptocurrency fraud.
