Polish forward of the Spanish team Barcelona Robert Lewandowski has suffered an ankle injury, reported the press service of the football club.
The club's statement says:
Tests carried out this morning have revealed that Robert Lewandowski has a left ankle sprain.
Earlier, Lewandowski set a new record for Barcelona's performance in the 21st century, scoring 35 goals in his first 50 games at the Spanish club.
The 35-year-old Polish striker played 56 matches, scoring 39 goals and making 12 assists. The player's transfer value is estimated by Transfermarkt website at €30 million.
Earlier, the media reported that Barcelona may be relegated to Segunda.
