Barcelona aims to acquire Norwegian forward Erling Haaland from Manchester City in the summer of 2025, as reported by Rantsports.
It is noted that Barcelona president Joan Laporta hopes that signing the star forward will be the response to Real Madrid's acquisition of the Frenchman Kylian Mbappe.
Additionally, it is emphasized that the Barcelona leadership maintains good relations with Haaland's agent, Rafaela Pimenta. However, Laporta himself stated that his club does not need major signings.
In the current season, the Norwegian played 34 matches for City in all competitions, scoring 29 goals and providing six assists. His current contract runs until the summer of 2027, and Transfermarkt values the player at 180 million euros.
Previously, Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger stated that he considers Mbappe a better player than Haaland.
