As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona plans to appeal the two-match suspension handed to their head coach Xavi.
The coach was suspended for two games following his expulsion from the match against Madrid's Atletico during the 29th round (3-0).
According to sources, Barcelona has video evidence showing that Xavi did not insult the referee during their heated exchange.
If the appeal is successful, Xavi's suspension will be reduced from two matches to one. Currently, Xavi will not be able to lead the team personally in matches against Las Palmas and Cadiz.
Earlier, Xavi stated that he does not see a team stronger than Barcelona in the Champions League.
