According to the online publication AS, after the 32nd round match of La Liga between Real and Barcelona, fans of the Madrid club chanted slogans urging Barça's head coach Xavi not to leave his position.

El Clasico took place on April 21st at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the Spanish capital and ended with a score of 3-2 in favor of Real Madrid. The goals for the winners were scored by forward Vinicius Junior, who converted a penalty, defender Lucas Vazquez, and midfielder Jude Bellingham. Barcelona's goals were from defender Andreas Christensen and midfielder Fermin Lopez Martin.

Following this match, Real leads the La Liga standings with 81 points. Barcelona is in second place with 70 points.
