Atletico Madrid has reached a deal with reigning Premier League champions Manchester City to sign striker Julian Alvarez for a potential €95 million, subject to personal terms being finalized.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed a few hours ago that there are negotiations between the Atletico Madrid board and Julian Alvarez's agent about personal terms with the Spanish club, but that is not expected to be a problem.
Atletico is expected to pay £64 million up front (€75 million), with the remainder of the fee coming in add-ons, and it will be a record sale for City.
Alvarez has made 103 appearances for City since arriving at the Etihad Stadium two and a half years ago, scoring 36 goals. The Argentine international won two Premier League titles, as well as the FA Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup titles, all in 2023.
