Aston Villa coach Unai Emery has been named the best coach of the English Premier League (EPL) for December 2023, ahead of David Moyes (West Ham), Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth) and Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool).
Emery, 52, took charge of the Villans from Birmingham on October 24, 2022, moving from Spanish Villarreal and succeeding Steven Gerrard as Villa's head coach. Emery's coaching career also features Almeria, Valencia, Sevilla, Arsenal London and Paris Saint-Germain.
After 20 played rounds of the EPL-2023/2024 season, the Lions scored 42 points with Emery and are in second place in the standings, three points behind the leading Liverpool.
