Liverpool's head coach Arne Slot has made history by becoming the third manager in English Premier League (EPL) history to achieve three consecutive clean sheet victories at the start of the season.
On September 1st, in the third round of the EPL, Liverpool registered an impressive 3-0 win against Manchester United. In the first two rounds, the team also clinched victories against Brentford (2-0) and Ipswich (2-0).
Historically, only two other managers have started their EPL careers with three clean sheet wins: José Mourinho with Chelsea in 2004 and Sven-Göran Eriksson with Manchester City in 2007.
Slot has been managing the English club since the summer of 2024, previously heading the Dutch club Feyenoord.
Following these three matches, Liverpool currently sits in second place in the EPL standings with a total of nine points.
Notably, Slot is also the first coach in Liverpool’s history to record two wins at the start of the EPL season.
It has been reported that Liverpool will pay Feyenoord a compensation fee of €15 million for Slot's transfer.
