The President of the Argentine Football Association, Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia, announced the filing of an official complaint to FIFA's Disciplinary Committee following the first round group match of the football tournament at the 2024 Olympics against Morocco.

The Mundo Albiceleste quoted Chiqui Tapia as saying:

Waiting almost two hours in the locker room, only for our players to have to go back out to warm up and continue playing a match that should have been suspended by the referee after the pitch invasion by Moroccan spectators and the violence suffered by the Argentine delegation, is truly senseless and goes against the competition rules. From the Argentine Football Association, we have already submitted the complaint to FIFA's Disciplinary Committee.

Recall that the match between the national teams of Argentina and Morocco, which ended with the score of 1-2, was interrupted just minutes before the end and later resumed in front of empty stands due to a mass invasion of Moroccan fans onto the field, who had thrown firecrackers at the Argentine players.
