Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti called reports about the possible return of striker Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad to the Spanish team fake news.
According to the specialist, he never communicated with los Blancos management about the transfer of the forward.
Ancelotti was quoted as saying by journalist Fabrizio Romano on his social media accounts:
Reports about the return of Karim Benzema to Real Madrid are not true. It's a lie. We have not spoken about this with the club.
Benzema played for Real Madrid from 2009 to 2023. In total, he spent 648 matches for the club, in which he scored 354 goals and made 165 assists. He won 25 team titles as a member of Madrid.
