Forward Julian Alvarez of the Argentina national team has been recognized as the best player in the match against Canada in the first round of the 2024 Copa America group stage.
The 24-year-old forward scored the first goal, converting a pass from midfielder Alexis Mac Allister. The game ended with a 2-0 victory for the Argentine team.
The Copa America is taking place in the USA from June 20 to July 14. The group with Argentina and Canada also includes national teams from Peru and Chile.
The next match for Lionel Scaloni's team will be against Chile. The game will take place on June 26, starting at 4:00 GMT+3.
According to TyC Sports, London's Chelsea is considering signing Alvarez from Manchester City.
