Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr president Musli Al Muammar said he didn't expect Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo to make a decision to transfer to the club in the middle of the 2022 World Cup, which ends in Qatar.
Earlier, the media reported that the Saudi club offered the 37-year-old forward a 2.5-year deal worth €500 million, including salary and promotional contracts.
Ronaldo didn't negotiate with us because he was busy with the World Cup. As far as I know, not only with us, but with other clubs too. We didn't expect him to make a decision in the middle of the tournament. I wish Cristiano all the best with whatever choice he makes.

Recall that after Portugal's departure from the 2022 World Cup, the striker maintained his form at the Madrid training base. On November 22, Ronaldo became a free agent, terminating his agreement with Manchester United by mutual consent of the parties.
