According to publication Barron’s, citing anonymous sources, around 100 people have died following a mass brawl among fans at a football match in Nzerekore, Guinea's second-largest city.
There are bodies lined up as far as the eye can see in the hospital. Others are lying on the floor in the hallways. The morgue is full.

The incident reportedly began due to controversial referee decisions which included showing a red card and awarding a penalty against one of the teams, igniting a violent clash among fans.
This match was part of a championship honoring Guinea's rebel leader, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya.
