Fernando Alonso has expressed his opinions regarding the decision-making and discussions about certain players. He said that the referees are not always fair and allow leeway to certain players based on “nationality”. The governing FIA body said that all rules apply in a similar way to all players and drivers are treated equally.
Alonso’s comments came because he got penalized for using the run-off area in Russian Grand Prix but he claims that he followed the rules and rejoined the drivers after breaking away. He claims that he did so to gauge what type of questions he would be asked during the Turkish Grand Prix.
When I do things, they have a different behaviour and a different repercussion on the following event. So now maybe they change the run-off area in lap one in the first couple of corners. I am the idiot on track for most of the championship while I've been overtaken from outside of the asphalt by many people in the first couple of races There are different rules for different people -- or different talks the week after for different people. The next one that crosses the white line on the pit entry, let's see which nationality he is and which penalty he will get.
