COVID-19 has changed the way the game is both played and viewed at the stadium. In light of the pandemic, ICC has put on stringent rules regarding bubble breaches and positive tests. ICC’s head of integrity and biosafety Alex Marshall revealed that fans must wear face masks while attending the T20 World Cup games in UAE and Oman slated to begin in a few weeks.

Those who test positive for coronavirus are required to undergo ten-day isolation even if the person is asymptomatic. There is a harsh punishment for players breaching the bubble created to keep away coronavirus.

We do not want to see any breaches. We do not think there will be. We think people understand how important this is, but we also expect team management and their squads strictly adhere and ensure to the rules. If people understand the rules and maintaining discipline is the answer to this problem means we won't have issues that disrupt the tournament or their own enjoyment of it.
