According to the Austrian media outlet OE24, the upcoming Grand Prix in Miami will see talks between Mercedes management and representatives of Max Verstappen.
It is expected that he will be offered a multi-year contract, with an impressive sum of €150 million per year, including bonuses. He will also be offered a contract to act as a Mercedes brand ambassador, which will be valid beyond the end of his career.
It is also reported that Mercedes has made an offer of a motorsport consultant job to Red Bull's Helmut Marko. This offer indicates Mercedes' willingness to accommodate Verstappen's wish to continue working with Marko.
Recently there was information in the media about the driver's possible move from Red Bull to Mercedes. Besides, Gunter Steiner, the former head of Haas team, said that the only team where Max Verstappen may move to, is Mercedes.
