The official website of the FIA reports that the Canadian driver of Aston Martin Lance Stroll was penalized five positions in the starting grid in the race of the Las Vegas Grand Prix (22nd round of the Formula 1 championship).
The organization made this decision after Stroll overtook the Spanish driver of Ferrari Carlos Sainz under the yellow flags in the third training session, which was held today, November 18. The Canadian did not get into the third segment of qualifying, taking the 14th place.
Charles Leclerc, a Ferrari driver, won in qualifying for the Grand Prix of Las Vegas on November 18. The next stage of the world championship will be held tomorrow, November 19.
