As reported by Motorsport, Red Bull will not appeal the penalty received by their driver Max Verstappen at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Under the Formula 1 rules, the teams have 96 hours after the race to request a review of an incident by presenting new and substantial evidence.
This situation is complicated by the fact that Verstappen served his penalty during the race, instead of receiving additional five seconds to his final time.
Recall that Verstappen received a five-second penalty for cutting the first corner while battling for the lead with McLaren's Oscar Piastri. As a result, the Australian secured victory, finishing just under three seconds ahead of Verstappen.
In other news, Verstappen has refused to discuss his penalty for cutting the first corner, fearing punishment from the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
