In 2025, German Formula-1 driver Nico Hulkenberg will join the Stake F1 Team Kick in the World Championship. Starting from 2026, this team will become Audi's factory team.
Hulkenberg will be part of a new Formula-1 project, although the terms of his contract have not been disclosed. According to information from Bild, a significant salary increase was one of the factors behind the German driver's move to the new team.
It is estimated that Hulkenberg currently earns around two million euros annually at Haas. Insiders claim that at Audi, his salary will be at least five million euros, not including bonuses and other additional payments.
Carlos Sainz is considered the top contender to be the 36-year-old German's partner. Rumors have recently surfaced that Audi is prepared to offer the Spaniard a long-term contract.
