Frederic Vasseur, the head of the Formula 1 team Ferrari, reportedly made an offer last summer to Gianpiero Lambiase, the race engineer for Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, to join the Scuderia.
According to SoyMotor, citing Corriere dello Sport, Vasseur proposed that Lambiase become the race engineer for Lewis Hamilton, who is set to join Ferrari for the 2025 season. However, Gianpiero Lambiase declined the offer.
Currently, Red Bull leads the Constructors' Championship with a total of 446 points. McLaren is in second place, trailing Red Bull by eight points, while Ferrari rounds out the top three with 407 points.
Former Formula 1 driver and 1997 champion Jacques Villeneuve believes that Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has a chance to win his eighth world title while racing for Ferrari.
