It is the first time that the Canadian women’s Softball team has won a medal in the Olympics after claiming a bronze. They beat Mexico 3-2 to claim the third position in the event.
Janet Leung made the winning run to setup the Canadian win in a tightly fought game. Meanwhile, USA and Japan will square off for the Softball’s finals for the gold medal.
