Shaun George, manager of Chinese boxer Zhilei Zhang, announced that their team is aiming to secure a fight with current WBC, WBA, IBO, and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk by the end of 2025.
Zhilei is not avoiding anyone. He will fight anyone, anywhere, when the opportunity arises. We want to face Oleksandr Usyk before the end of 2025.

Zhang is scheduled to face Agit Kabayel on February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In June 2024, Zhang won by technical knockout in the fifth round against Deontay Wilder. His record consists of 27 wins (22 by knockout), two losses, and one draw.
Usyk last fought against Tyson Fury in December 2024. Oleksandr won that fight by unanimous decision, successfully defending his WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. His record stands at 23 wins (14 by knockout) and no losses.
