Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has hinted that he may end his career after his fight against Chinese boxer Zhilei Zhang.
The bout will be the co-main event of a boxing night to be held June 1 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Wilder said at the press conference:
I'm looking forward to the fight, I respect Zhang. He is a good fighter but it's my time. Come the night of the fight, we will see if I've got it or not. I am quoting this fight as my last dance, my last chance. I'm not playing around this time. I have nothing to lose. I only have things to gain and this fight is going to tell. This fight we are going to see.
Wilder, 38, last stepped into the ring in December 2023, losing to Joseph Parker by unanimous decision. He has 43 wins (42 by knockout), three losses and one draw on his record.
