The WBC World Heavyweight Champion, Briton Tyson Fury has been named Boxer of the Year 2022 by the World Boxing Council (WBC).
Japanese Naoya "The Monster" Inoue, who holds the title of absolute bantamweight champion, also received the award.
Katie Taylor was named Women's Boxer of the Year.
Fury, 34, last fought in the ring in December, 2022, beating Derek Chisora by TKO in the tenth round. Last April, Tyson defeated Dillian Whyte by TKO in the sixth round. He has 33 wins (24 by TKO) and no losses.
