The WBA light heavyweight qualifying bout between Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez will take place on February 3 in London. The winner of that fight will be the mandatory challenger for WBA champion Dmitry Bivol.
Buatsi's last fight was against Pawel Stepien in May of this year. In this confrontation Joshua won by unanimous decision of judges. He has 17 wins (13 by knockout) and no losses.
Azeez last entered the ring against Khalid Gradia in July this year. That fight lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Dan by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 20 wins (13 by knockout) without a single loss.
