World champion in the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight division Oleksandr Usyk commented on the Ukrainian junior boxing team's decision to withdraw from the European Championships in Italy.

Earlier, the IBA suspended the membership of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation due to the government's interference in the work of the organization. Because of this, athletes of the national team couldn't use the national symbols.

"I would like to express my support for the national boxing team of Ukraine, which was prohibited to perform under the flag and anthem of Ukraine at the European championship.

Umar, this is not just a flag, these are the colors of freedom around the world. You can't break the spirit of our competitors. You can't even dream about it.

Guys, you are great and thank you for showing the world your courage and strength of spirit. Ukrainians are strong-willed people", - Usyk wrote on social networks.

We shall remind you that on August 21, at night in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua by way of split decision. Usyk had 20 wins (13 of them by knockout) and no defeats.
