Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, the holder of the WBA, WBO, WBC, and The Ring heavyweight titles, responded to questions about a potential rematch with IBF champion Daniel Dubois. This rematch might be organized by Saudi Arabian Minister of Entertainment Turki Alalshikh if Dubois wins against New Zealand's Joseph Parker.
Usyk said, as reported by Boxing King Media:
Your excellency, make the fight with Daniel Dubois. Thank you so much. I can do more. I’m ready to fight (Dubois), no problem. Next fight no problem. Now I want to go home and rest.
Oleksandr Usyk
As a reminder, on December 21 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk faced off in a rematch for the WBC, WBA, and WBO heavyweight titles, which ended with a unanimous decision victory for Usyk.
In May 2024, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision and became the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. His record includes 23 wins (14 by knockout) and no losses. Tyson Fury has 34 wins (24 by knockout), two losses, and one draw.
