Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, announced that the rematch between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Tyson Fury is scheduled to take place on December 21st in Riyadh.
Al-Sheikh wrote on his social media account:
The rematch between the Undisputed Champion Oleksandr Usyk and the Champion Tyson Fury is now scheduled on the 21 of December 2024 during Riyadh Season...The world will watch another historical fight again...Our commitment to boxing fans continues...We hope you enjoy it.
The first bout between Usyk and Fury occurred as the main event of a boxing evening held on May 18th in Riyadh. In that match, which went the distance, Oleksandr secured a victory by split decision from the judges and became the undisputed heavyweight world champion.
Usyk boasts 22 victories (14 by knockout) and zero defeats in his professional career. Fury has 34 victories (24 by knockout), one defeat, and one draw to his name.
