TJ Doheny, the former IBF super-bantamweight champion, is gearing up to challenge undisputed champion Naoya Inoue in Japan on Tuesday. Doheny, 37, aims to reclaim the titles he held in 2018-19.

Despite being seen as the underdog, Doheny remains confident. At the press conference, Doheny said:

Everything is in perfect condition... I’m really honored to be challenging for the undisputed world championship. I belong at this top table.

Inoue, known as "the Monster," boasts an impressive record of 27 wins, 24 by knockout, and is celebrated in Japan as a four-weight champion. Though he faced setbacks in 2019, including a notable loss to Michael Conlan, Doheny is motivated to excel, drawing on his previous three victories in Japan.

The fight is set for approximately 12:15 Irish time on Tuesday.
