American boxer Terence Crawford is no longer the World Boxing Council (WBC) champion in the welterweight division, as reported by BoxingScene.
As of now, Crawford's status is a "champion in recess." It's worth remembering that Crawford secured the WBC title last summer by defeating Errol Spence with a technical knockout.
On August 4, Terence will step into the ring against Uzbekistan's Israil Madrimov. He boasts 40 victories (31 by knockout) without a single defeat.
