American boxer Ryan Garcia has been cleared of using one of the banned substances found in his system. According to journalist Dan Rafael, Garcia's charges involving the use of nandrolone have been dropped.
However, Garcia is still facing accusations of using ostarine. The boxer's team has requested the testing of sample B, with the results expected to be revealed on May 22nd. If any traces of ostarine are found in sample B, the test will be considered positive.
The fight between Garcia and Haney took place on April 21 in Brooklyn. This fight went the full distance and ended in Ryan's favor by majority decision. The fight was originally a title fight, but since Garcia failed the weigh-in before the fight, Haney kept the WBC super lightweight title.
Garcia has 25 wins (20 by knockout) and one loss in his professional boxing career. Haney has 31 wins (15 by knockout) and one loss.
