Former world light heavyweight champion Roy Jones Jr. led the action outside the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne. It was reported by Inside the Games news agency.

The protesters demanded to include boxing in the program of the Olympic Games 2028, which will take place in Los Angeles. In June this year, the IOC banned the International Boxing Association (IBA) from holding Olympic qualification for the 2024 Summer Games in Paris.

Jones last fought in the professional ring against his compatriot Scott Sigmon in February 2018. Roy won that fight by unanimous decision of the judges.

Jones was out for an exhibition fight against his compatriot Mike Tyson in November 2020. That fight lasted the entire distance and ended in a draw. Roy had 66 wins (47 KOs) and nine losses.
