Finnish heavyweight boxer Robert Helenius has passed a positive doping test taken as part of a voluntary test before his fight with Britain's Anthony Joshua. It has not been reported what exactly was found in Helenius' sample.

Joshua defeated Helenius by knockout in the seventh round on the night of August 13 in London.

VADA has informed Matchroom and the British Boxing Board of Control that Robert Helenius has returned an adverse analytical finding as part of a random anti-doping protocol.

Matchroom Boxing statement

Helenius previously stepped into the ring on Aug. 5, defeating Mika Mielonen by technical knockout in the third round. He has 32 wins (21 by knockout) and five losses on his record.

Joshua's previous fight was against Jermaine Franklin in April 2023. This confrontation lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Anthony by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 26 wins (23 by knockout) and three losses.
