Pope Francis has blessed the championship belt that will be at stake in the heavyweight bout between WBC champion Tyson Fury and WBA, WBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk.
This bout will take place on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.
Fury, 35, last fought in October 2023, defeating Francis Ngannou by split decision. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no defeats on his record.
Usyk, 37, last stepped into the ring in August 2023, defeating Daniel Dubois by knockout in the ninth round. He has 21 wins (14 by knockout) without a single defeat.
