Former UFC heavyweight champion, Cameroonian mixed martial arts fighter Francis Ngannou has dropped from No. 10 to No. 24 in the WBC rankings following his early loss to Anthony Joshua.
The WBC heavyweight belt is currently held by Tyson Fury. Joshua is at the first position in the ranking. Next comes Frank Sanchez. Agit Kabayel is third and Efe Ajagba is fourth. Rounding out the top 5 of the WBC ranking is Jared Anderson.
Joshua and Ngannou met in the ring in the main event of an evening of boxing held on the night of March 9 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this fight, Anthony won by knockout in the second round.
Joshua has 28 wins (25 by knockout) and three losses. It was the second consecutive defeat for Ngannou in the professional ring.
