English-language social media accounts spread reports that the boxers are already negotiating the fight, which would likely be broadcast on pay-per-view by Showtime and ESPN.
Lopez last fought against Josh Taylor in June of this year. In that confrontation, Teofimo won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 19 wins (13 by knockout) and one loss on his record in professional boxing.
Davis had his last fight against Ryan Garcia in April this year in Las Vegas (USA). In this confrontation, Gervonta won by knockout in the seventh round. He has 29 wins (27 by knockout) and no losses in the professional ring.
