The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has mandated that the undisputed world light heavyweight champion, Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev, defend his titles against German challenger Michael Eifert, who is the IBF’s mandatory contender. This news was reported by journalist Michael Benson.

To recall, on October 12 in Saudi Arabia, Artur Beterbiev won a closely contested match against Dmitry Bivol by unanimous decision (114-114, 115-113, 116-112). Beterbiev boasts an impressive record of 21 wins (20 by knockout) and no losses. In comparison, Eifert has 13 wins (five by knockout) and one loss on his record.
