Hearn Tells Bivol Is Ready to Give Up Undisputed Champion Title Read More

Famous British promoter Eddie Hearn, who represents Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol, has shared the news regarding the future of the undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division.

We are doing whatever His Excellency wants us to do for the next fight, I would expect that to be, because of how he dealt with Bivol v. Beterbiev 1, I would expect that to be the trilogy fight. If His Excellency turns around and says ‘We want you to fight David Benavidez’, no problem. But we want to keep hold of all the belts, but if we have to lose one to follow His Excellency’s plan for Dmitry Bivol, no problem as well.

Eddie Hearn for Seconds Out

Bivol had a rematch against Artur Beterbiev in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this February. In that match, Dmitry won by a majority decision and became the undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight category.

Bivol has been fighting professionally since 2014. In his debut match against Uruguayan boxer Jorge Rodriguez Olivera, Dmitry secured a technical knockout victory in the sixth round. He currently holds a record of 24 wins (12 by knockout) and one loss.
