Former heavyweight world boxing champion David Haye believes that Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk is the best heavyweight among the current generation of boxers.
Boxing News quotes Haye as saying:
Has Usyk proven himself to be the best heavyweight of the generation? 100%. He's done everything humanly possible in such a short amount of fights. He's an undisputed heavyweight, undisputed cruiserweight, and Olympic champion.
On May 19, Usyk claimed victory over Tyson Fury by split decision and became the undisputed heavyweight world champion.
Usyk, 37, had his previous fight in August 2023, defeating Daniel Dubois by knockout in the ninth round. He has 22 wins (14 by knockout) without a single defeat on his record.
Fury, 35, previously stepped into the ring in October 2023, beating Francis Ngannou by split decision. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and one loss.
