WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis and former WBC interim world champion Ryan Garcia have signed contracts for an April 15 fight in Las Vegas.
The deal, which has been in the works since last November, will be finalized as soon as broadcasters, represented by Showtime and DAZN, sign the agreements.
Davis had his last fight against Dominican Hector Garcia in January of this year. Gervonta won that fight by TKO in the ninth round. He has 28 wins (26 by TKO) and no losses.
Garcia last fought Javier Fortuna of the Dominican Republic last July. The fight, which was stopped in the sixth round, ended in favor of Ryan by TKO. He has 23 wins (19 by KO) without a single loss.
