The fight between WBC lightweight champion Ryan Garcia and WBA regular lightweight champion Gervonta Davis is on the verge of being called off.
"I don't have a contract on my hands. The deadline is Monday. If there's no contract, we will move on," De La Hoya, Garcia's promoter, wrote on Twitter.
Garcia and Davis previously gave verbal agreements for the bout, which was scheduled for April 15 in Las Vegas.
Davis had a fight against Hector Garcia of the Dominican Republic in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 8. Gervonta won that fight by TKO after Hector refused to continue the fight after the eighth round. Davis has 28 wins (26 KO's) and no losses.
Garcia's last fight was against Javier Fortuna of the Dominican Republic last July. Ryan won that fight by TKO in the sixth round. He has 22 wins (18 by knockout) and no losses.
