Spencer Browne, manager of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, revealed that the Briton wants a fight against Oleksandr Usyk before the end of 2023.
In an interview with Boxing King Media's YouTube channel, Browne said:
Usyk said he needed a 14-week training camp. But I can assure you that this is not true. I spoke to his manager last night. We're rushing full steam ahead to the 23rd [of December].
Usyk last entered the ring in August this year against Britain's Daniel Dubois. Oleksandr won that fight by knockout in the ninth round. He has 21 wins (14 by knockout) and no defeats on his account.
Fury's last fight was against Derek Chisora in December 2022. Their clash ended in favor of Tyson by technical knockout in the tenth round. He has 33 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no defeats in the professional ring.
