Former world boxing champion Carl Frampton spoke about the upcoming heavyweight title fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, which can take place before the end of the year.
Frampton told Boxing Social:
It's going to be a tough night for Oleksandr Usyk. I think Tyson is very big, he uses his size perfectly. It would be unfair to say that Fury will win the fight just because of that. He is very tough, skilled, he has fast hands, he knows what he is doing. I like everything about Usyk. I like what he did in the first heavyweight and super heavyweight divisions, but I just think this is too big a step for him.
Usyk's last fight was against Daniel Dubois in August 2023. Oleksandr won this fight by knockout in the ninth round. He has 21 wins (14 by knockout) and no defeats on his account.
Fury last entered the ring against Derek Chisora in December 2022. This fight ended in favor of Tyson by technical knockout in the tenth round. He has 33 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no defeats.
