Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will make his professional boxing debut on February 10 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The fighter's opponent, weight class and number of rounds for the fight are currently unknown.
Aldo ended his MMA career after his August 2022 loss to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 278. Despite remaining under contract with the UFC, Aldo said that Dana White, the promotion's president, promised him he would allow him to compete in any sport except mixed martial arts.
Aldo, 36, had 31 wins, 17 of which were by knockout, and eight losses.
