WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk is finalizing negotiations for his first title defense on February 14 in New York against American fighter Keyshawn Davis, as reported by ESPN.
Berinchyk last fought against Emanuel Navarrete in May this year. This bout went the distance, with Denis winning by split decision, earning him the vacant WBO title. His record stands at 19 wins (nine by knockout) and no losses.
Davis last stepped into the ring against Gustavo Daniel Lemos in November this year. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in a knockout victory for Keyshawn. He has an impressive record of 12 wins (eight by knockout) with no losses.
