Oscar De La Hoya, head of Golden Boy Promotions and representing former WBC interim lightweight champion Ryan Garcia, discussed the American boxer’s plans for 2025.

Once Ryan gets back in action, once Ryan gets back in rhythm and maybe has a tune-up fight, possibly in late April or maybe early May, then I want to throw him in there with the very best, and I think in top of my head, Teofimo Lopez or even ‘Boots’ Ennis, or whoever the very best is. We still have Devin Haney.

Ryan Garcia last stepped into the ring against Devin Haney in April 2024. Initially, Ryan won that fight by majority decision. However, he was later disqualified for a failed drug test, and the result of his match with Haney was overturned. He holds a record of 24 wins (20 by knockout) and one loss.
